Dutchess County criminal-record questions usually belong with the agency that created the report or the clerk who maintains the case. This private resource cannot receive official requests. The contacts below route court files, personal rap sheets, arrest reports, bookings, and police records to the public offices that hold them in Poughkeepsie and across New York.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately run resource cannot retrieve an official criminal record, perform an authorized background check, correct an agency file, or accept a record-sealing motion. Contact the appropriate public custodian directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the record type. Dutchess County has no single counter for every criminal-history request:

  • County Court files: use the Dutchess County court case lookup, or call the Supreme and County Court clerk at 845-431-1720; the counter at 10 Market Street is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Personal New York rap sheets: request fingerprint-based Personal Record Review from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services
  • Sheriff arrest reports: call 845-486-3800 and select the Records Unit for material created by the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office
  • Current county custody and bail: call the Justice and Transition Center at 845-486-3900; its administrative office at 150 North Hamilton Street is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Municipal police reports: contact the city, town, village, or state police agency that made the report rather than county government
  • Record sealing: file with the court that handled the case and request a Certificate of Disposition from that clerk when required

The verified sheriff starting point is the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Records Unit, 108 Parker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, 845-486-3800. Court documents remain with the originating Unified Court System clerk, not the Sheriff's Office or County Clerk.
